	Welcome to the official web page of the Szaniszlo Laboratory in the Section of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, Program in Cell and Molecular Biology and Institute for Cell and Molecular Biology in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin.
Our primary research is in fungal cellular development. In particular, our current studies center around the pathogen, Wangiella (Exophiala) dermatitidis (Wd), which causes the human fungal disease known as phaeohyphomycosis.
