Reading List Students and Projects
Each student in pollination biology must complete a field study deomonstrating the use of a variety techniques covered in the course. The project must include, but is not limited to, the following:
  1. Detailed description of the study plant and its flowers.
  2. Phenology of the study population, individual plants, and individual flowers
  3. Qualitative and/or quantitative analysis/description of pollinator attractants or rewards.
  4. An insect collection representing floral visitors to the study plant.
  5. Description of the mode of pollination.
  6. Determination of the plant's breeding system based on pollinator exclusion/pollen addition experiments.
