Research Snapshot

Mr. Bushart is investigating the role of a membrane-bound calcium pump in the early germination and polarity fixation of the spores from the fern Ceratopteris richardii.

History with the Roux lab

Mr. Bushart received his B.S. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester in 1999 and traveled to Texas that Fall to start in the ICMB graduate program.  He joined the Roux lab on a rotation and stayed on as an official member in the summer of 2000.  Tom is scheduled to complete his Ph.D. in May of 2006.
