Goals / Objectives:

• Our team will develop and implement a pre/post test to identify topics and lessons to use with fifth grade students. We will utilize a t-test to analyze student content and skills improvement. Results will be shared with classroom teachers and principal.

• Team members will provide at least six hours of instruction within the classroom, and additional time assisting students and teachers with valuable hands-on, minds-on lessons and experiments that occur both indoors and outdoors.

• Team members will assist students in developing awareness, knowledge, and skills that can be used to improve their environmental education and help manage the earth’s natural resources.

• Team members will communicate with their classroom teachers and students. Information about the project will be shared with teachers, parents and students through the web.

• Fifth grade students will be successful on the Life Science Objectives in the TAKS assessment.
