KXAN has recently put their "Live WeatherNet" up and have (finally) included Smithville High School. This is your best (and closest) bet for actual current conditions since SHS is only about 7 miles (as the crow flies) from SLP, but check the reports for Mina Elementary in Bastrop and La Grange Middle School, between the bunch of them you'll get a good idea of the current conditions and what's coming in the next few hours.
