RESEARCH INTERESTS:
I look at the affects of oxygen availability on Shigella species anaerobiosis, pathogenesis, and virulence. This bacteria, when inside the host, is exposed to microaerobic and anaerobic conditions that will require the pathogen to adjust its cellular functions in order to sustain an infection.
