Additional Things to Consider
We usually go to sites which have bathroom and shower facilities, check with the
instructor to be certain.
We often stop at convenience stores for gas and to eat, bring money.
Find out the cooking situation. Do you need to bring a camp stove or
charcoal and lighter fluid, etc..?
It is a good idea to coordinate the meals with other students and to share tents
when possible.
Check with instructors about whether tents are needed or whether they might have
some to borrow.
Gear packs best in soft bags.
State parks and many preserves prohibit drinking alcohol.
