The Pigeon parasite study consists of collecting lice, mites, ticks and louse flies from pigeons. The parasites are then counted according to type. Each pigeon's parasite load is then preserved in 95% Ethanol.

The second project is pigeon control. It consisits of getting an estimate pigeon population and gathering information on population control methods. The main goal is to come up with non-lethal means of pigeon control for the campus.

The third project is pigeon banding. Body weight, bill and wing dimensions as well as DNA samples are among some of the data taken from each pigeon. On the left leg of each banded pigeon there are two bands, a colored band and a silver numbered band. On the right leg, there are two color bands.
