Summer 2006

The classroom part of the course is a 2 hour long lecture. Some of the topics are classification, reproduction, sensory organs, locomation and feeding behavior of vertebrates.
 
The lab meets every Wednesday following the lecture. Students are requird to attend every lab session. Each missed lab or inclass field trip will result in a 3 point deduction from the final course average (out of 100 points). Labs sessions will consists primarily of learning to identify vertebrates, especially those that occur in Texas. Lab will begin immediately following lecture.
 
The field component consists of several in-class field trips and three weekend trips. The inclass field trips give students a chance to survey local vertebrates, while the weekend trips allows students to see vertebrates from other regions of Texas.
