Field Trips
Field component of VNH consists of several in-class field trips and three weekend field trips. Don't forget to bring your field notebook and field guides on the field trips. For the weekend field trips, you may also want to bring a camera, flash light, tent, sleeping bag, pullover, CDs, and a can of insect repellent (esp. for East Texas and Port Aransas Trips).
| There will be several in-class field trips. On some of which you can expect to get wet. You will be given more detailed instruction on how to prepare for each field trip in advace. If you have a health condition that prevents or restricts you from participating on field trips you must let us know well in advace. |

Besides the in-class field trips, there are three weekend field trips scheduled. You must attend two of the three weekend trips. Please note that you are encouraged to attend all three weekend field trips if you want. Failure to attend two weekend field trips will result in a reduction of 8 points for each trip missed from your final course average (out of 100 points). You should try to decide which field trips you plan to attend by the second lecture.
