DNA Used to Bond Metal Beads

This review (0.42MB) appeared in Science News on August 7, 1996, (vol. 150:100) and shows how a long polymer such as DNA has many chemical properties that are useful, or potentially so, outside of a living system. This molecule, or the double stranded dimer of the polymer, must have many properties in a living system that have not yet been imagined!
