- All 106 transcriptional regulators studied are segregated into
functional categories on the basis of their primary functions of
their target genes, indicated by color key (clockwise from top):
- Red = Cell
Cycle
- Black = Developmental Processes
- Orange = DNA/RNA/Protein Biosynthesis
- Green = Environmental Response
- Blue = Metabolism
- Lines with arrows depict binding of a regulator to gene
encoding another regulator.
- Circles with arrows in margin depict binding of a regulator to
the promoter region of its own gene.
